This batch of 6 "Smoke" colored [Type 1] cassettes was a test batch from my cassette supplier. I slightly tweaked the levels on each tape until the left and right channels were equal and at max loudness, so each cassette is a little unique. The differences in levels are barely noticeable by ear or on peak/vu meters.

All production (i.e. tape dubbing, design, labels, testing) is by Yamacrate. Each tape was individually recorded using two 1980s Akai cassette decks. All recordings on these cassettes are purely analog signals and have no digital processing.

***Disclaimer: On "67Telbooth", there is a section of the song where the original 4 track tape got chewed up. I intentionally left this part in the master, so every release (including digital) has this chewed up section recorded in it. Do not be alarmed as your tape deck is 99.9% not chewing up the tape. I cannot vouch for decks in need of maintenance as dusty pinch rollers and capstan shafts can chew up tape (this is what happened to me on the original 4 track recording ;)). I just want to be clear as this part of the song makes me cringe a little bit when listening to it on cassette even though the cassette is 100% healthy. It's a bitter sweet moment.

    Enjoy!

This transparent yellow release is on a lower quality cassette. The tape formula and overall cassette build quality is poor, causing sub par playback and head room. The recording is a little hissy and distorted but it has a charm to it as it compliments the already lo-fi nature of the album. This is a limited release of 15 but can grow to 20. Included is a black plastic case, j card with track listing, download card, and wrap.
